My students at the International Welcome Center are charismatic teens new to the U.S. Some are unaccompanied minors. Others have traveled with their families fleeing hardships abroad or looking for new opportunities. Our program equips beginning English language learners with intensive daily language acquisition lessons so they are better equipped to transition to mainstream schools or join the workforce.
