This year will be my first year with my very own classroom. Having my own classroom comes with a whiteboard, desks and chairs for the students. It is my job to come up with the resources and materials they will need in their everyday learning. One of the items I am asking for is a Hardwood Art Easel Dry-Erase Board with Storage and having this small easel will allow me to display the Question of the Day, where students can independently answer by voting or writing on the whiteboard area. Not only will this easel be used for this one activity but also for center time. This easel can be converted to the art area where 2 students (one on each side) can have materials to paint their pictures. A Magnetic Whiteboard/Flipchart easel will help to display song charts and poems that I would teach to students while using a pointer. This will also allow for an interactive activity for students to have a turn with the pointer to read the song/poem aloud. Rug time is a great time for students to use small whiteboards and reusable dry erase pockets to show what they have learned. Displaying materials in Spanish, such as the calendar and books will help foster their Spanish vocabulary and access alternative forms of literacy. Nevertheless, these materials will foster a fun, interactive learning experience for my students. By being able to gift them these everyday classroom items will help motivate them to come to class and learn. I am ready to see my students happy and ready to learn!
