I started this project because I want to give my students the opportunity to be at the forefront of their generation. At their age, their imaginations are boundless and filled with possibility. This is the time when their ideas should be explored and nurtured.
Your donations will provide robotics and programming resources to give my students the opportunity to explore the world of computer programming, problem solving, and engineering in an exciting and engaging way.
The use of robotics is a great way to integrate STEAM concepts across all core subject areas. I can use the dash and dot, robot mouse, and sphero robots to integrate fundamental coding and robotics skills across the grades and will work closely with classroom teachers providing them with ways that they can integrate computational thinking and robotics into their everyday curriculum. These robots will give my students the opportunity to try to solve real world problems in a creative, exciting, and innovative way.
I will use the resource books to develop a computer science library for my program. I have collected quite a few books on my own and my students are always so eager to read them. I know if I had more books it would expand their content knowledge and enhance their ability to create dynamic projects.
I have seen firsthand how creative and limitless my students imaginations can be and these tools will give them an opportunity to make their ideas come to life. Just imagine the world they can build if they have a chance to unleash the power of their imagination. The possibilities are endless!
