Students will be completing a class project in which they investigate their community and find a need and/or desire for public "building/structure" such as a theater, a skate park, a community center, etc. They will design this chosen structure and create a scaled drawing of it. Students will apply the concepts they have learned from measurement units and geometry units to help create this design. In order to be successful, they will need tools (calculators) to double check their findings! Afterwards, they will create a 3D representation from the initial scaled drawing and present their findings to the class. After presentations are complete, students will analyze each other's presentations and decide on a singular one to propose to the local government!
About my class
