I teach in an urban public blended preschool classroom . My students are from low-income households and lack many resources in their homes and in the community. Many of the children enter preschool not speaking any English or having self-care skills such as putting on their own coats or washing their own hands. 35% of one of my classes have special needs and I co-teach with a Special Education teacher for half the day. We have to make many adaptations to our curriculum and environment to accommodate these students.
