Your donation will provide math games for my K-3rd grade students to use at recess, in math centers, during lunch, on Game Friday or, most importantly, at home by checking them out from the lending library. I want to provide my students with as many opportunities as possible to learn and reinforce the math skills that are taught at school.
My K-3rd grade students LOVE math games, and your donation will make learning fun! Third graders love the multiplication game Tri-Facta! Games like Tri-Facta help students learn their math facts without the typical timed paper/pencil tests. They can practice at home with their family. The Numbers Sequence game I'm asking for will help first graders learn their addition/subtraction facts in an attention grabbing way!
All of the games requested are games that will be played every day and will be able to go home with students for weekends and long vacations to help build their math knowledge. Families will know what their child is working on at school. Your donation will help provide students with the necessary practice to learn facts, numbers, and patterns and to become automatic with math facts.
A majority of my students do not have math games at home. Many families do not have the resources to purchase games. These math games will be lent out through the Math Game Library so that students can take a game home any time of the year. These games will reinforce what is being taught in their classrooms. My kids will ask to play them regularly!
