"One child, one teacher, one book and one pen can change the world." Malala Yousafzai... We are 28 first-graders and one second-year teacher on the South side of Chicago! My educational experience was filled with caring adults, engaging instruction, and endless opportunities. I believe that every child deserves that, no matter their zip code, no matter their socioeconomic status, no matter their race. That starts with teachers. I've been slowly building my classroom materials over the years, but there are still many things that I will need to make our classroom a warm, fun, and rigorous place for my students to learn and grow. A donation to this campaign means that I can provide the classroom essentials (and maybe even some extras) to the kiddos I serve, teach, and love!
