My students are multicultural and attend a brand new beautiful school in beautiful Florida that separates genders for core classes.
I am so pleased to be teaching Second Grade for the third year! My school rocks. They have bought all new Common Core books for all subjects. This has been so helpful with the shift towards Common Core. We have two desktop computers in each classroom and a smart board. This is wonderful as a teacher, and I am very appreciative, but I really think my children need more computers in the classroom. Some of them do not have computers at home, and they need to be comfortable using computers, as a lot of testing will be done on computers in the future. More importantly, computers are one of the best tools to have at their disposal. They can research, read books, communicate with each other and even go on VIRTUAL field trips!
