These computers will make a huge difference to the history Gifted and Talented students enrolled in class. Nationwide, this is the most underdeveloped student population in most schools. It is incorrectly assumed that these students will "get it" on their own because they are labeled as GT. However, this is not the case! These are the unique minds that can solve problems with their abstract thinking. My hope is that these computers will enable students to complete passion projects during "Genius Hour" on Friday. This hour will allow students to get away from the curriculum and cultivate what they are truly interested in. It is proven that Genius Hour projects stimulate the mind of students and transfers into the curriculum of all core subjects. Help me cultivate the minds this underdeveloped population!
