My students are the best! They are kind, compassionate, energetic, and so hungry for knowledge and growth. We often discuss current events, the reasons for why events in the past happened, and how they could have been prevented. My students are in the 8th grade and are becoming more independent thinkers and their desire for information continues to grow. Unfortunately, the school and district do not have the funding to access and keep up with new technology that my students would benefit from. My students experience poverty at home, and at school as well. This however does not affect their desire to learn and improve their lives. Having access to technology will show my students how vast and ever changing the world around them is, and will inspire them to pave new pathways for themselves and their families.
