I teach in a Title I school District with mostly low-income families. My Kindergarten classroom is filled with sixteen eager and enthusiastic bilingual students who are ready to learn. We are working every day to "grow our brain muscles" and become hard working and inquisitive life long learners.
Our school mascot motto is "Warriors Achieving Excellence!" My students achieve excellence through all of the new challenges they conquer in the classroom each day.
We work in large and small groups to foster a love of reading, writing, and math. My class is also focused on fine motor development to get them ready for success in the rest of elementary school and beyond. We love hands-on learning and exploring the world beyond our classroom. Coming into my classroom is oftentimes, the first educational experience these children have had and we want that experience to shape their future in a positive way!
