Help technology become part of my students' daily lives. Technology, such as Chromebooks, should be used in the classroom just as much as a pen or pencil. Having Chromebooks in the classroom will create a more engaging learning environment, meet the needs of different learners, prepare children for a technology-driven world, and foster home and school connections. In second grade we cover many nonfiction topics such as geography, life cycles, animal habitats, animals around the world, and much more. These Chromebooks will give my students access to a wealth of information and a variety of different sources that they can use to explore topics that are of interest to them. The Chromebooks will be used to give my students opportunities to engage in online learning platforms, research nonfiction topics, and practice phonics, reading, writing, and math skills. The use of technology in the classroom will allow my students to be independent, curious, creative, and innovative learners.
