I am beyond grateful to come to work each day where I get hugs, cards, notes and more than enough love from my 20 second grade students. I team teach with a special education teacher. Our classroom consists of 10 special education students and 10 general education students.
Our school is a Title One school in which many of our students receive free and reduced lunch. The majority of our school is served ESOL (English as a Second Language) services. Many of my students come from homes where they speak Spanish, and all their experience with learning English comes from our classroom and interactions with others. They have limited technology at home, and I would love to bring more opportunities from them to explore and learn through technology in our classroom.
