Our school in currently in the process of transitioning to another building because the one we are currently using is literally falling apart. The transition process is set to occur in January. Meanwhile, we have little to no supplies in our art inventory. I brought my personal supplies to start them off including colored pencils, paper and a package of oil pastels. I am planning on projects that focus on Hispanic heritage such as sugar skulls in October for Dia de Los Muertos and studying La Virgen de Guadalupe as a cultural icon in the arts. Unfortunately, with over 150 students and without many of these basic supplies, we may be limited to simple paper and pencil projects. I would love to be able to instill a love of the arts and personal expression through a variety of media. Your help would be greatly appreciated! Please support our school!
