I am a middle school ELA teacher to a variety of students. Some students read at grade level while most of my students come to me needing extensive intervention as they read 1-4 grade level behind 7th or 8th grade reading. With that I have to provide a lot of accommodations and small group instruction throughout my lessons in order to fill gaps and keep students passing in ELA. I like to foster a love for reading by providing books in the hands of all my students provided by my very own made library. Students explore a variety of genres in my classroom that is appropriate to their own reading level and are challenged to move up in their reading.
