My music classroom is an inclusive space for all learners. It is a space where students of all ages can take risks, explore self expression, and create music within a community. I strive to provide new and inventive ways to keep students interested and curious about what they are learning. To support my students growth, I want to update the current classroom that has been unused for a couple years. The boomwackers are easy to use and teach kids melody, pitch, and rhythm all while hitting the tubes on the ground. The scarves will be used to inspire movement that accompanies songs, activities, or recordings we do in class. The drum set allows several students to play at one time. This raises the number of turns taken during our thirty to forty five minute classes. These specific drums are durable and a perfect height for our four year olds to practice playing and sharing. I want to assist in teaching my students how to think outside the box and create something with their peers. Often times the students who struggle with math, science, or literacy thrive in music. I love knowing my students and supporting their learning style the best way I can. These materials are perfect for building fundamental skills of young musicians!
