My students are inspired, motivated and thoughtful urban scholars in Boston, many with special learning needs. Each of the 6th-8th grade homerooms I co-teach are inclusion classes: they are a mix of general education students, special education students and English language learners. My students' diverse backgrounds bring a wonderful richness to our classes. However, this diversity also means there are countless learning levels and language acquisition levels in each homeroom. My goal is to meet each student's unique academic need and help them make the progress they will need to succeed in high school, in college, and as adults.
