The children in this program total 10. They have delays in the domains of motor, adaptive, cognitive, communication and social skills. Like all children, they need to become self sufficient. Whatever means we have of developing life skills is invaluable.I am watching teaching evolve beyond the classroom. I know it would be an invaluable tool to expose these little hands to the adventures of gardening. Please visualize the world around them, sometimes silent, sometimes confusing, somewhat overwhelming watching with wide eyes and wonder. Imagine the possibilities when given the tools to grow their own healthy organic food & make a contribution to a greener world. They are amazing little people with bright futures and will someday be our teachers. Helping them help themselves is a gift that will last a lifetime, however getting to the big outdoors with multiple children presents a challenge, therefore we need wheels.
