Many teachers would agree that a diverse classroom library is a necessity for developing young readers. As a first year teacher, I was given a classroom that had little to no age appropriate books. Many of the books left behind were either infested with ants, or uninteresting for my 3rd graders. The books that I have selected are known to be some of the most popular children's books, full of mysteries, humor, and fun. My goal in this project is to expose my students to the wonderful books available, but most of all instill a love for reading that will last a lifetime.
