I am a teacher in a Title I public elementary school in the Bay Area. My school serves a high needs population - ~50% of students come from low-income families, about 40% of students are English learners, and a high percentage of students are struggling academically. My school is particularly focused on integrating culturally responsive teaching, restorative justice practices, and programs specifically designed to reach English language learners and students who need differentiated academic support.
I am committed to creating a classroom environment in which all of my students feel included, valued, empowered, and excited to learn. Learning is a collaborative experience wherein each student will be recognized for their strengths and supported when they feel challenged. The projects on my page will give students the supplies they need to work in the learning space they deserve.
