I am looking to provide my students with more sensory items to help them calm, self regulate and be able to attend to learning for longer periods of time. My students enjoy deep pressure and weighted items, but we don't have any items that belong to our classroom.
They love to move! A tunnel will really help us to move and regulate at the same time. Weighted toys and special cushions will help us when sitting to read books and at circle time. A weighted blanket will really help several of my students to calm down when they are experiencing strong emotions. Many of my students are still mouthing toys and other items. They will benefit from oral sensory items.
