My students are 20 preschoolers living in a diverse neighborhood, who attend a large public school within an even larger school system. The majority of my students are English Language Learners, and a variety of beautiful languages are heard throughout the day in our class. At 4 and 5 years of age, my preschool classroom is their first time being in an educational environment with other students. It is a time of many proud "firsts" and remarkable moments of questioning, discovery, and exploration. My students are very verbal, social, and have an unbridled passion for trying new things and solving problems. Preschool is a time to nurture natural wonder and curiosity and to set the foundations for skills and habits that will follow my students as they continue with their educational experiences. I cherish my role as an educator in supporting my students on all of their learning paths!
