With the use of a tablet, students will be able to use their Chromebook for Google Meets, but because of their needs, it is extremely difficult for them to participate. Tablets would allow them to practice their IEP goals like matching, counting, identification of colors, shapes, letters, and numbers. Tablets would also allow them to utilize additional communication supports for students that are nonverbal. This would help them to participate in our sessions, as well as allow them to practice effective functional communication skills with necessary support. Because all of my students require a great deal of assistance with tasks, providing them with opportunities to be independent is essential. These tablets would allow lessons to be much more interactive and students would be engaged in activities that they can participate in much more fully.
