My first graders are eager learners that need space to grow. A new rug will give our classroom a new place for them to be able to concentrate on their work. The change of environment does not have to be major, all they need is a place to go when they are feeling antsy or need to let out their wiggles. This will also give me the opportunity to give a variety of lessons to small groups and make centers run smoothly. Flexible seating is something that we would like to explore and this would be the perfect first step to be able to achieve this. With more opportunities to explore, we can increase our learning. I'm excited to make this happen!
