Chromebooks will allow my students to accomplish so many exciting, creative tasks in all subject areas! We can begin by enhancing our keyboarding skills while composing our own stories inside our classroom. Friendly letters, paragraph writing, and research will easily be incorporated into our daily lessons as well our reading and writing rotations.
I work at a Title 1 school which has a 100% free and reduced lunch rate. There is a diverse population of students at our school, which results in a variety of learners; all of whom learn differently. Not only this, but many of our students do not have the resources in their homes to help them to succeed. Most students do not have technology in their households, therefore the only time they are able to use a computer would be during school hours.
Students need to be confident using computers and other technology in order to be successful in today's world. Students deserve the tools to do that. There are so many great pieces of technology out there (like the Chromebook) that can be an important supplement to our learning in the classroom and beyond!
