My 8th grade English students need new novels to keep their interest. Our current novels are old and dilapidated. Many are missing pages, and the students do not connect to the content anymore. These students deserve to have high quality supplies for high quality learning. If a student is not interested in the text, they cannot achieve success with their reading. Avi's Nothing But the Truth not only will keep the students interested, it also deals with events that the students deal with frequently. It can teach life lessons about stretching the truth and how fast rumors can spread. It brings the topic of patriotism to the forefront as well.

About my class
