It can be challenging to get my students involved in class discussions. My students struggle with confidence and many have speech difficulties. Whether it's trying to comprehend the questions asked or building up the nerve to share an answer, there is typically an awkward amount of silence after I ask a question in class. Utilizing something fun like the Qball can help to take away some of that fear in answering questions. It creates a fun element that motives students to share out.
The Qball is a device that gets kids up and active while encouraging them to share their ideas. The microphone adds a fun component to lessons by getting my kids up out of their seats, sharing ideas & practicing hand-eye coordination skills. Some of my students qualify for occupational & physical therapy due to fine motor issues. Using a larger ball like the Qball allows those students to hold a microphone without needing to have a ton of grip strength. The durability and size of the microphone ball allow my students with unique physical limitations.
With your help, I can bring an accessible, fun tool into our classroom that empowers ALL of my students to take a more active role in their learning.
