Hello! My name is Maegan Rivera and I am currently in my third year of teaching at Thoreau School as a Special Education Resource Teacher. My school is on the Northwest side of Milwaukee and currently serves grades K-4 through 8th grade. It is Milwaukee Public School that serves about 550 students. Before I went into teaching, I was a City Year AmeriCorps member at Rogers Street Academy. It was there where I discovered I wanted to serve students as an educator.
