Hello,
My name is Ms. Rivers. I am currently working in a special needs self-contained classroom with 6th-8th grade students categorized as an Adaptive Classroom setting. Most are non-verbal so I use transitional cards to help them express their needs by pointing to a labeled picture card I created. We try to supply them every opportunity to communicate their needs. In most case, supplies are teacher created to better assist each individual student at their level rather than using preprinted book materials that do not provide enough modifications for the individual student to understand the skill being taught. We are currently collecting aluminum cans to help offset costs of supplies when possible. Please help us continue to help ourselves by looking over our needed requests in order to continue excelling in our academic adventures.
Thank you, Ms. Rivers and Class
