I teach third grade in the elementary school that I attended as a child! It's such a fun experience to be back where it all started! I feel like I've gone full circle, and I love creating memories for my students like the memories that my teachers created for me in the same building!
I typically have a classroom of between 23-26 third graders. My students come from a variety of different backgrounds and with a variety of different life experiences. They are typically very excited and eager to learn, but they all reach that goal of learning in very different and diverse ways. I am constantly striving to change my instruction to suit the needs of my new students with each passing year, month, and day. In a primary school classroom, there is innocence, eagerness, excitement, flexibility, encouragement, and of course, never a dull moment! I can't imagine doing anything else!
