Technology has become a huge part of 21st century learning and growing.
Our Mission is with a caring culture of trust and collaboration, every student will graduate ready for college and career. In a classroom where most of the students are below grade level, small group instruction plays a major role in fulfilling this mission when working on areas of growth as well as areas to build fluency in both literacy and mathematics. During small group instruction, the teacher is only able to work with 5 to 6 students at a time. This is to truly address student's individual difficulties. The other 21 students in the classroom must complete independent work stations which help reinforce the current literacy and math skills being taught or a spiral review over what has previously been taught. The use of technology such as Chromebooks will aid students while working in independent stations. Technology use is a fun and interactive way to help build fluency and understanding of the content standards. More importantly, the use of technology is an effective way to prepare students for the Georgia Milestones Assessment. These Chromebooks give students the opportunity to interact with technology that they may not otherwise have access to.
