I am requesting Brother Ink Cartridges for our Brother Genuine classroom printer. These Brother Ink Cartridges will enable my co-teacher and I to scaffold our STEM lessons and print out copies for all of our students. Many times, our textbooks are not sufficient and we like to create our own activities for our students. Students will be able to type and print out their work, in addition to reprinting and editing their work.
I am also requesting a laptop and colored paper to produce and print out our STEM activities and projects in color.
This project will bring math to life. Having a color printer inspires creativity in math class. Several of my students are very creative, but are not strong in math. Showing how math is seen in nature (Fibonacci) and in art (Escher) will make a connection for them. Math class is not always black and white. It is a world of color which they will see with colored paper and a colored printer!
Also, the laptop enable students to work at their own pace and have questions catered to their specific needs on websites such as Khan Academy.
