My students are wonderful youth, who want so badly to be successful in school. I teach 10, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders in a self contained comprehensive academic unit for students with cognitive disabilities. These young people attend a small neighborhood elementary school in Wisconsin. Our school has few resources and as their teacher who desperately wants to see them be successful people of the world, I find myself often purchasing things from my own pocket.
