Learning from home has been difficult for many of my students. They often do not have the tools or resources to support hands-on learning at home, so I would like to create at home learning kits for each of my students to use as we start the school year virtually. These kits will help my students understand difficult math concepts at the middle school level and assist them in achieving their own personal Individualized Education Plan( IEP) goals. They will be working on multiplication, division, factors, odd numbers, even numbers, graphing, and fractions using these items.
Children are not meant to work all day on a computer, so I want to give them alternate learning opportunities to set them up for success. By including stories we can read as a class, I hope to incorporate math with literacy and promote higher student engagement. Please help me provide hands-on tools for my students to be successful at home and eventually in the classroom* fingers crossed*!
