My students attend a public school in Washington State in which over 50% of the student body qualifies for free and reduced lunch. My classroom consists of enthusiastic learners who are at varying levels in their current academic abilities. In order for everyone in the classroom to be successful, I must ensure that the curriculum is accessible to all of my students. While this kind of differentiation can be done through whole group instruction, there are many times throughout the day where I pull small groups of students for short spurts of targeted instruction. My students are hard workers, eager learners, and the future of our nation. They absolutely deserve the opportunity to be supported by resources that will be monumental in their learning.
