These materials will provide my students with a more hands on approach to understanding environmental issues. They will give students a visual representation and a chance to apply what they have learned.
The activities will help students see that these issues are real and how they can make a difference. During each unit we will be able to have at least one hands on lab with these materials to further push their understanding. The books will also give students a realistic idea of how they can start to make a difference on their own. One goal for the course is to not only help students understand the issues but also what they can do in their community to make a difference.
