My student LOVE to move! Sometimes, though, giving the option to stand, walk around, or wiggle can get in the way of productive learning. I have seen how well flexible seating works in other classrooms and would love to offer it to my own students. Being able to allow students to use wobble chairs and floor chairs would truly benefit the learning environment. My students would be able to fidget, wiggle, and wobble without distracting others from learning and increase their own ability to engage in lessons. In addition, by giving students choices of where they can learn and work will encourage the students feel in control of their learning. When students feel in control, they are more willing to open their ears and minds to learning as well as inquire deeper meaning for what is being taught.
