Students will be using the Kindle Fire tablets every day in our Daily 5 rotation. Students work independently at different centers and one of those centers is listening to reading. While students work independently at these centers I pull students in small groups based on their level for guided reading.
These materials will make a difference in my classroom, by making sure all students have access to technology every day to read leveled books. I teach kindergarten in a low income and high poverty school, so most of my students can’t read. This will allow them to get on reading apps or programs that give them leveled books independently based on their needs, and can read to them. They will gain more experience and exposure to reading helping them academically.
