Students love to work on iPads and they love to make videos of themselves, so why not use that in the classroom with their education! My students would like some Ipads to use various apps like Epic!, an app which allows them to read and/or listen to books. Also, they would like to start using the app Flipgrid in order to share their work/answers and thinking with their peers. This will allow them to give voice to their learning in a creative and relevant way. They can then respond to their peer's response, further demonstrating their thinking and helping others reflect on their response/thinking. They will be able to use the iPads for various uses such as Reading Counts, Discovery Education, Front Row Ed, and many other educational sites to learn and practice skills in a relevant way.
Having iPads in the classroom will allow them to practice skills and show their knowledge and thinking in a creative way while also help make them responsible digital citizens.
