As a teacher in a large urban school district, I teach a diverse population of students that face many challenges each day. My students come to school every day from a diverse set of backgrounds. Despite all of their challenges, once at school, the students work hard to "Go For The Gold". The diverse backgrounds my students come from, include English Language Learners, free and reduced lunch students, students of color, and students with special needs/learning disabilities.
