My students are amazing eager learners. They are of a high poverty school in our district. We are a neighborhood school. This means that my students live nearby and walk to and from school. They are all on a free lunch program. The majority of the students are of Hispanic background. Many of them speak English as a second language. They are limited in experiences.
They LOVE music, and are eager to participate in anything musical. They always come to school full of enthusiasm for the day. Their energy is contagious, making me want to come to work every day so I can give them as many musical opportunities as possible!
