There are 26 enthusiastic students in my second grade class in the Kansas City, Kansas School District. Our school is located in a low socioeconomic area and 88% of the students are considered economically disadvantaged. 75% are English Language Learners who came in speaking little to no English. Teaching in an urban environment, there is just not enough money to get the resources we need to help these students. Being only a third year teacher, I don't have a lot of resources built up and am not given the funds to do so. Please help if you can!!
