My students attend a school in a low income area, where English is not their primary language. Since this is my students first experience in school I try to instill a love of learning with the minimal resources we have available. With English being their second language it is difficult to grasp their attention without visual aids and technology. Since the parents are limited at home with the English language and resources, school is the environment where they will be able to flourish with the appropriate support. With the use of technology and visual aids I can reach and accommodate the various learning styles we have in my classroom. My students come in with a thirst to learn and an excitement for new experiences.
