My students are a diverse group representing many different countries and cultures. They come from low income homes of hardworking families who struggle to make ends meet and put food on the table. Most of them are on the free/reduced lunch program.
Despite the daily hardships my students face, they come to school with a smile on their faces eager to face each day.
I love to see them on their way to school walking with friends and family. They are imaginative, humorous, and very caring individuals.
Each and every day I try to inspire them to work hard and be the best that they can be. They rise to the challenge to the best of their abilities, even when being a second language learner sometimes obstructs their progress. I focus on their strengths and try to build on their weaknesses in order for them to learn that they can be successful in all they do.
