My students come from diverse backgrounds. They enjoy kinesthetic learning, such as athletics and theater. So I try to incorporate read-alouds to act out in class, to pique their interest while helping students practice their reading comprehension skills.
Our school is located in a lower SES area. Our school budget does not allow us to keep up with current technology, which has hindered our ability to help our students keep up with the times. Technology like iPads, Chromebooks, and Tablets cannot be purchased due to lack of funding.
