I teach a 5th Grade inclusion classroom. My class is focused on building social skills and academic knowledge. My students are learning how to manage disagreements and learning how to build knowledge through academic discussions and learning ownership. We've come a long way to learn how to work together as a community of learners, and we are proud of our achievements. These are kids with so much potential, but at the same time, they need positive venues for that energy. I witness everyday how proud they are when they accomplished classwork or they help a classmate. Still, we can do better, I know that there is room to grow as learners and as members of our community.
