My students love listening to books on CD. It is a great way for them to listen to smooth, fluent reading while reading along. We need reliable CD players and headphones in our classroom, as ours have seen better days and don't work half the time. We will use the CD players to listen to their favorite books, specifically Caps for Sale. This book will help children learn about money and finances. We will also play with play money for hands-on experience. Students will use the CD players during math and literacy centers to practice basic math and literacy skills.
