Providing flexible seating options to my students is very important to me. At the beginning of the year, I have students sign the Flexible Seating Contract which lists guidelines in regards to respecting the property and choosing an appropriate spot in the room.
I would like to be able to provide multiple options around the room to allow students to choose where they will work best for each activity or part of the day. Students will use yoga balls along with desks as an option for flexible seating. Other flexible seating options include cushions, lap desks, yoga mats, or traditional chairs. I would like the entire room to be utilized as a learning space, so students can feel comfortable, which will improve engagement.
