My students need snacks to provide them with energy to get through the school day. One of the first things I learned in my first year teaching is that if a student is hungry, school work becomes even more difficult.
Although my students face many challenges, hunger should not be something a 13 year old needs to worry about. My students know they can come to my room at any time and ask for a snack. By providing snacks to my students, I have seen a tremendous increase in their effort and in the quality of their work.
Welch's Fruit Snacks, Quaker Granola Bars, and Pepperidge Farm Goldfish are some of their favorites! These snacks will go directly to my 7th and 8th grade students and help them to stay full and focused throughout the day. I will be able to give students snacks during the day, at after school tutoring, and to take home.
