The materials I requested will be use to help my students learn about people with in their community who is different from them and come from different countries all over the world. My students will learn that we do not all speak the same language, wear same clothing's or eat the same foods. They will be learning about other cultures as well learning about their own. While reading the stories and showing the pictures in the book students will get a visual of what is being said. The art material will give them the opportunity to create themselves, a family member, a friend or classmate. The students will be able to the materials to create how they see themselves as well as others. As the children is standing or sitting at the table they will be interacting and having a conversation as they explore the mix and match magnetic. As the students use these materials it will help them work on their social skills, communication skills, as the develop their creative skills. While my students might not be able to travel to explore these different cultures at least I can bring it to them in stories and play.
